Low-cost, High-fidelity Airway Simulator

Emergency surgical airway simulation is an important part of anesthesia training.

Project Status: Completed

We created a low cost, high fidelity emergency surgical airway simulator using 3D printing. Special thanks to the International Airway Collaborative (www.airwaycollaborative.org) for their open source trachea models. In addition to the airway phantom, we’re developing a training curriculum for implementation into the DHMC Simulation-Based Education & Research (SBER) Center.
